Blogger Secret Santa.

I dont think there is anything more exciting than receiving a gift, especially over the Christmas period.  So when my collection slip from the post office arrived in my post box last week, I couldn’t get to the Post Office sooner.

A very big thank you to my secret Lelanie Slater, editor of the lovely blog ‘of beauty and love’, who went out of her way to find out more about me and I think its safe to say after receiving my gift she knows me well.

If you follow me on pinterest, most of you will know I have a […]

Out and About Durban Style.

Moving back to Durban 6 months ago, was basically like moving to a new city I had never been too.  Even though I grew up in Durban, at the age of 13 I headed off to boarding school in the Midlands, away from the bright lights and socialising that happened in Durban –  And then went from high school to Cape Town. So in April when I moved to Durban, I slowly had to start finding my way around Durban.  I hadn’t been in Durban for 12 years besides the quick family visits I did every couple of months.  But every time I […]

Bold Coloured Bikers.

Almost every street style image I have come across lately, is someone sporting a bold coloured biker jacket.  Seem’s to be a big trend.  Something I’m not sure I would be able to pull off.  I do love the look though.  I would go for the printed one’s more than like a bright green or blue.  What do you think?

Today’s the day all Capetioans have been waiting for, the opening of ZARA at the V&A Waterfront.  After spending the past two weekend’s in Joburg and shopping up a storm in the Zara store there – Im sure my credit card isn’t as excited about the store opening.  My latest obsession is studs.  I just cant seem to get enough of them – and lucky Zara South Africa is on top of this trend.

Happy Shopping Ladies.

number one buy.

About two month’s ago, I did a post on The White tee – it’s something every girl should own.  It’s so simple, yet so powerful.. Never underestimate the power of a white tee. And take note of the styling – all tucked in at the front with a belt and let loose at the back.

The Utility Jacket.

Now’s the perfect time to realise how useful The Utility Jacket can be.  Recently I’ve noticed how versatile a good utility jacket is. Cape Town’s weather lately has been confusing lately.  In the morning it’s glorious sunshine, but come lunch time it’s tipping down.  That’s why The Utility Jacket is a perfect purchase for all you Cape fashionista’s.  What’s nice about The Utility Jacket is you can wear it with anything.  They look fab with coloured trousers or even with stockings and dresses!  Overall, it’s the kind of piece you wont struggle to create outfits with.

Leather Biker Jacket.

You really can wear it with anything – pretty little dresses right through to the classic white tee’s, skinny jeans and sunglasses.  It’s the kind of purchase that you feel cool in – like when you get your first pair of baby doll school shoes (so much cooler than lace up school shoes). I love that you can really change a look with a leather jacket..

Aztec is a trend we can look forward to this coming summer. Being a serious style spotter in hong Kong, this is a trend I love. When it first came out a couple of summers ago I really wasn’t taken with the whole poncho thing, but now there are some really cool prints around on skirts, tops and shorts.  I guess it’s the whole boho-chic thing, but everyone I spotted in HK wearing aztec pieces looked very chilled out and care free..
